The university is more than an anthology of building
and classrooms; it is an ethnically rich environment. The university is a society in
which students, teachers, and
administrators work together. A lot of students find a big difficulty to adapt
them to the university atmosphere. In fact, there are a lot of measures that
can help students to find a good place in the university, three of which are
remarkable; making friends, living on the
campus and doing extracurricular
activities.
First, friendship is an interesting step for students to adapt themselves to university atmosphere. There is no doubt that friendship gives them a chance to be familiar with the university life. Going with friends to the cinema and enjoying a romance or an action movie can be a good way to make student can share news and ideas. For example, the student can discuss with his friends the problems that he faces in his studies during the academic year. In addition, comradeship can go so far as to create a bond between the student and his teacher as much as through the students and his classmates. For example, the student can rely on his classmates to give him the missing courses and by doing so he feels at home. Thus, companionship acting an imperative role in making the student feel more at home than at the university.
Second, living on the campus is another effective way for new students to adapt themselves to university atmosphere. Resting on the campus, only students live, and because of this they create joining clubs in which they can contact each other easily and do a lot of actions. The campus also is a good place where s students are able to share what they know. Example, they are acceptable to do a debate because there are many places on the college grounds for that principle such as the coffee shop on the hall. In adding together, just by living on the campus you start to feel that you are a part of that place, principally if you are the head of some actions on the campus.
