“Grace-Full” Leadership

John Bowling wrote, “Christian leaders should not try to homogenize their elegances. In fact, there are clear times in the life of organizations when [people should boldly break out of the pack and lead. But those break-out leaders must be elegance filled leaders, not self-filled.”
““Grace-Full” Leadership” is an in-depth conversation about the heart and character of a leader. The author suggests that headship within Christian community should be different and he discusses the distinct qualities and traits of an area Christian leader.
Bowling writes “Grace-Full” leaders are more concerned with soul than style. They are covenantal relatively than contractual and they view people as an end, not a means. “Grace-Full” leaders seek significance, not achievement and effort primarily on the body, not the head (Bowling,  2011). Bowling continues by debating more specific traits of a leader. He writes “Grace-Full” leaders recognize responsibility, they follow as well as lead, they interact rather than react, and they keep balance.
Bowling concludes by asserting that effective leadership is constituted by a leader’s devotion to life-long development. He adds, while developing leaders is not easy, an organization without real leadership has little chance of survival and there is a significant need for “Grace-Full” leaders. He wrote, “The world is waiting for a new group of leaders—men and women whose mission is more than income, whose morality is not contextual, and whose very life is a face of grace; leaders who will manage themselves, inspire others, and forge the future.”
When Christ said, in its place whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all. He redefined the world of organization for the Christian leader. No longer thorough on bottom lines, demographics, and profit margins, Christ presents the paradigm of the washbasin and towel, the heart of a servant. Headship within the life of the Christian community is or must to be, different from the world’s ideal of leadership in exercise and principle. In Grace-Full Leadership, sightsee the leadership qualities and performs that are distinct within the community of Christian leadership. Discover, when handling first as a Christian and second as a leader, how your company or group can grow exponentially in mystical gains an eternity of transformation from today’s capital gains.
He is a strong and effective leader who also has a background in pastoral ministry and college education. He's a popular speaker and writer with the unique ability to blend biblical vision with the applied demands of daily life. His other books include A Way with Words, Grace-Full Leadership, and Packing Up and HeadingOut dash Making the Most of Your College Journey. God has redefined the world of organization for the Christian leader through scripture. He isn't focused on bottom ranks, demographics, or revenue margins; Christ presents the paradox of being a leader and a servant at the same time. In Grace, full Leadership, Careeningtravels the leadership qualities and performs that are separate from the community of Christian headship. Discover, when handling first as a Christian and second as a leader, how your business or organization can grow exponentially in spiritual increases an eternity of difference in today's capital gains.
How are we to resolve the original tension that exists between the biblical concepts of servanthood and headship? In what ways, should Christian leadership differ from all other leadership?  The author believes the answer is found in being filled with grace – that is being a grace-filled leader.
John Bowling discovers the Who of a grace-filled spearhead somewhat than the How. He speaks of the qualities of Grace-Full Leaders as:
·          More disturbed with spirit than style
·          Covenantal slightly than contractual
·          Viewing people as ends, not means
·          Recognizing the unsettled from the fixed
·          Looking for significance, not just success
·          Receptive as well as accountable
·          High-touch
·          Maximizing effect and lessening authority
·          Obsessive
·          Focused primarily on the body, not the head
In the second section of the book, the traits of Grace-Full Leaders serve as a quantity tool for readers about their own leadership.
Leaders in The Salvation Army are called on to wear many hats and can most definitely benefit from the author’s investigation as to how “a Christian leader can be tough-minded, compassionate, driven, patient, focused on the task and yet attentive to others.”
Leadership development is self-development.  Along with that, every Christian accepts a personal calling to lead others to salvation.  With that in mind, this book is an excellent compass leading each bookworm toward a greater infilling of God’s Spirit and His gift of grace. Scripture describes the church as a living creature the Body of Christ. The nature and function of the religious are different than a business and every other creativity. The Church is God’s agent to settle and transfer a fallen world where things are continually falling apart, changing and vanishing. Your call to lead a church is a call to God’s creative, redeeming work of reconciliation.
Leaders have different administration thinking and personal character. Some leaders are sensible and disciplined, others are emotional and impulsive. Although there is no code for successful leadership, there are many qualities that transform how people view leadership. A grace-full leader is one whose most important concern is not style but spirit. Bowling concludes by asserting that effective leadership is constituted by a leader’s devotion to long life progress. He adds, Grace-full Leaders is not easy, an organization without impressive leadership has little chance of survival and there is a significant need for Grace-Full leaders. Style and spirit are both important. But without spirit, even a good leadership style is arid. It makes some short time results, but it is weak to transform an organization into a human being. Such a leader knows that a person’s rights are much less important than a person’s right’s. The real power and energy of grace full leaders rest in the relationship of both the leader and the followers to a commonly held set of values and objectives instead of merely the relationship of the leader to the follower.

John C. Bowling, said, “The world is waiting for a new generation of leaders, men, and women whose mission is more than profit, whose morality is not contextual, and whose very life is an expression of grace; leaders who will manage themselves, inspire others and forge the future.
